Oven Timer is meant to be a very simple application to track the temperature and times for cooking foods. Here’s the scenario I give most people:
Imagine you grab a food out of the freezer to cook – let’s say french fries. You put the fries on a pan, put the bag away, then put the pan in the oven, only to discover you don’t know how long to cook the fries or at what temperature. Sure, you could get the bag back out of the freezer, but that requires effort and the freezer is cold.
With Oven Timer, you just add the food to the app once, then the next time you’re cooking it, you just select it in the app, and it shows the temperature the food needs to be cooked at and for how long it needs to cook. A timer is included so you can just tap the “Start Timer” button to start a timer. Multiple timers can be active at once, so you can be cooking different foods at different temperatures, and still keep track of all the times.
Oven Timer is mostly complete – I’d just like some cooking graphics to pretty it up a bit. I’m planning on making it a free, ad-supported app, with an option to pay 99 cents and remove the ads.
